Keep document management private

Nest organizes and searches your documents locally on Windows, without an account, web dashboard, cloud upload, or subscription.

Some documents should stay close

Private, even when they are not secret.

Some documents are not especially interesting to anyone else, but they are still private.

Bank statements, contracts, tax papers, invoices, insurance documents, family paperwork, letters, and scanned records often belong on your own computer — not necessarily inside another online account.

Nest is a local Windows app for organizing and searching important documents without turning them into a cloud service.

Local document organization

Your library stays on your computer.

Nest stores your document library on your computer. You can import documents, add titles, categories, tags, dates, and notes, and search for them later from the Nest app.

There is no account to create, no web dashboard, and no subscription. Nest is a Windows desktop app, not a cloud service.

Practical, not ideological

Not every document workflow needs a cloud service.

Cloud tools can be useful. But for many personal and small-office document collections, a local app is simpler and more comfortable.

Nest is built for people who want their document organizer to stay close to the files it organizes.

What stays on your computer

Practical privacy, by default.

Documents you import into Nest are kept in a local library folder. Nest stores document details and searchable information locally so you can find files from the app.

The goal is practical privacy: organize and search documents without uploading them to an online document system.

What Nest does not replace

Local organization is not a backup.

Nest is not a backup solution. If a document matters, it should still be backed up somewhere safe.

Nest also does not replace normal Windows account security, disk protection, or sensible handling of private files. It keeps document organization local, but you are still responsible for protecting your computer and your backups.
